Perahera held in grand manner

The ‘Sri Sambuddhatva Jayanthi Ashirvada Maha Perahera’ organized for the 57th time by the Hanwella Embulgama Rajamaha Viharaya was held in a grand manner. It was conducted under the advice and guidance of the Chief Incumbent of the temple Ven. Dankande Bodhiwansa Nayaka Thera and under the patronage of the Chairperson of the Perahera committee, Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardhana. The perahera was conducted after a hiatus of three years. The perahera was held with the participation of eight Basnayake Nilames and 32 other Nilames and 40 elephants. Eighty-six dance groups also joined the perahera.
