Pistol, ammo stolen from businessman’s house

A thief broke into the house of a well-known bakery businessman in Wattala on Sunday and stole his licensed 09mm pistol along with 30 rounds of ammunition, Police said.

It is reported that at around 5.30 am while the businessman was asleep, the thief entered through the window of the bathroom and stole the firearm and 30 rounds of ammunition.

Police said that the houses of the businessman’s two children are located on the same land. He lives alone at home as his wife has passed away.

The Police are further investigating the incident.
