Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena yesterday urged the Opposition not to base their decisions on suspicions.
“The Opposition always raises doubts and works on suspicion all the time. But all those doubts have been removed by the Government,” he said.
The Premier said that although the Opposition raised suspicions that the Government would lay off thousands of public sector employees due to the economic crisis, such things did not happen and also that the debt payment issue is being resolved.
He said that everyone in this Assembly accepts the difficult and economic collapse that Sri Lanka faced and Sri Lanka is now on the path of stability and growth.
