‘Podi Lassi’ further remanded till Jan. 4

Underworld figure Janith Madusanka Silva alias ‘Podi Lassi’ who was arrested on charges of peddling drugs, was further remanded till January 4 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Buddhika Ragala yesterday.

According to the further B Report, it has been revealed that Pathirahandige Vihanga Prabath Deminda had planned to commit a murder on the instructions of Podi Lassi. The CID further recovered a T-56, a pistol, a revolver and a few bullets following the statements given by the suspect.

The CID further mentioned in its report that no offence has been revealed against the suspect under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
