Leading left-wing political Parties and organisations led by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and the New Alliance, launched a new Alliance under the name “Podujana Eksath Peramuna” . Ministers Nimal Siripala De Silva, Susil Premajayantha, Mahinda Amaraweera, State Ministers Duminda Dissanayake , Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Piyal Nishantha and Parliamentarians were present.
