Police request to halt silent protest dismissed

Colombo Chief Magistrate Prasanna Alwis yesterday dismissed a request by the Keselwatta Police to halt a silent protest in front of the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.  However, in case of any public disturbance in the area due to the protest, the Police are permitted to use their powers.
