Police Sergeant attempting to defraud bank booked

A Police Sergeant attached to the Kalawana Police Station who was under suspension was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department for submitting a forged document to a State bank located in Valvettithurai. The arrested sergeant is a resident of Karavita.

It is said that this sergeant along with two other officers tried to steal the money from another person’s account by using forged signatures. The bank has complained to the Criminal Investigation Department due to the fact that the documents submitted were found to be fake.
