Pramodya reports to SMSIU

Sri Lanka Cricket’s Chairman of Selectors, Pramodya Wickramasinghe appeared before the Sports Ministry’s Special Investigation Unit (SMSIU) for the Prevention of Sports Offences yesterday.

The summons was issued following a request from Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe, who had called for an investigation into corruption allegations made by Pramodya Wickramasinghe regarding Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). Wickramasinghe had told the media recently that he had information on match-fixing, illegal activities, and betting related to Sri Lanka Cricket. (D.R.)
