Prez Poll: Acceptance of postal voting applications ends

Acceptance of postal voting applications for the upcoming Presidential Election ended at midnight yesterday (9).

The Election Commission extended the postal voting application acceptance date from the previous closing date on August 5, 2024 to accommodate the majority requests by public servants in the country.

The postal voting period commenced from July 26, the date on which the special gazette was issued by the Election Commission announcing the date for holding the poll for the Presidential election 2024 and the date of nomination for candidates for the election.

The Presidential election is scheduled to be held on September 21 and nominations will be accepted on August 15, 2024.
