Principal remanded till August 30

National Child Protection Authority(NCPA) Chairman Udaya Kumar Amarasinghe stated that an investigation has been initiated regarding the Principal who was arrested on suspicion of having sexullay abused students.

The Chairman said that information has been reported that certain people who have given evidence and statements about the case of the abused child are being influenced, and the National Child Protection Authority is working to conduct investigations in this regard and confirm the facts.

The NCPS Chairman said that information has been reported that witnesses are being pressured to withdraw their statements as well as to prevent them from giving evidence. The arrested Principal has been remanded till August 30.
