Probe into damage of Ambalangoda Police jeep

Ambalangoda Police started an investigation regarding the damage caused to a jeep belonging to Ambalangoda Police station inside the station. When a driver of the police took it out from the garage at the police station for cleaning in the morning of last Saturday (22), he had seen that the two wind shields were damaged.

This officer informed the Officer-in-Charge of the police station about this and recorded a complaint. A suspicion has arisen that the damage to the jeep had been done by another officer. A similar jeep belonging to the Ja-Ela Police, reserved for the use of the Ja-Ela OIC had obscene words written on it earlier. An investigation was conducted and a Inspector who worked in the same station was arrested.
