Probe into Rs.2.5 Mn robbery at Makola

The Sapugaskanda Police are investigating a theft of gold items and cash worth Rs.2.5 million that took place at the house of a multinational company manager in Makola.

According to her complaint to the Police, gold items valued at Rs.1,625,000 together with US$ 2,900 and an ink pen worth Rs.25,000 were stolen.

Police say that the manager suspects that this theft was committed by a person who came from Ragala and was working in this house. A senior officer of the Sapugaskanda Police said that investigations will be conducted on that too.

She filed a complaint about the theft which took place on Wednesday (21).
