Pvt company fined for selling water bottle above MRP

The Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today fined a private company in Colombo for selling a bottle of drinking water over the stipulated maximum retail price. 

According to the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA), the court imposed a fine of Rs. 500,000 on the private company.

The CAA further said that the company had sold a bottle of drinking water priced at Rs. 70 for Rs. 200. (Newswire)
