The journey of Qserve began in 1994 with a simple yet profound vision: to deliver world-class quantity surveying services in Sri Lanka. Weddikkara, alongside a group of passionate young professionals fresh out of the Department of Building Economics, laid the foundation for what would become one of the most respected names in the construction industry.
Under the visionary leadership of. Chitra Weddikkara, Qserve has grown from a small, tight-knit team into an international powerhouse, synonymous with quality, innovation, and client-focused solutions. As a, company, Qserve has set the gold standard in the industry, delivering unparalleled expertise and service.
In 1996, recognizing the evolving needs of the industry, Qserve expanded its services to include project management, value management, dispute resolution, and claims management.
Qserve’s journey began with a project that would set the tone for its future success—the Heritance Tea Factory in Kandapola. This iconic project, undertaken for the Aitken Spence Group, transformed an old tea factory into a luxury hotel that now stands as a testament to innovative design and meticulous craftsmanship.
As Qserve’s first major undertaking, the Heritance Tea Factory project not only showcased the company’s technical expertise but also solidified its reputation for delivering projects that marry heritage with modernity.
Subsequently the company established a global footprint, opening offices in India, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the UK. The international ventures not only broadened Qserve’s expertise but also enriched its perspective, allowing it to bring a global outlook to its local projects.
Throughout its 30-year journey, Qserve has been at the helm of numerous iconic projects, each contributing to the transformation of skylines and communities both in Sri Lanka and abroad. Some of the notable projects include: Reconstruction of Bentota Beach by Cinnamon: Mövenpick Hotel, Colombo, The Central Hospital, Asiri Hospital Development, Kandy: Proposed Odel Development, Ward Place, Colombo, Razavi Medical Complex, Maharagama Cinnamon Bey Hotel, Beruwela and Renovation of Galle Face Hotel, Colombo which involved meticulous planning and execution to preserve its historic charm while incorporating modern amenities.
Their overseas projects included, Seeb and Salalah Airports, Oman: Indian Highway Project (Gurgaon – Kotputli – Jaipur) and Cinnamon HakuraaHuraa Maldives.
Over the past three decades, Qserve has been involved in over 300 multi-million dollar projects across various sectors, including leisure, commercial, institutional, housing, healthcare, and infrastructure. These projects stand as a testament to Qserve’s commitment to delivering exceptional results.
