Reduction in egg based eats from yesterday

All-Ceylon Hotel and Eatery Owners’ Association (ACHEOA) President Harshana Rukshan stated that prices of egg-based products such as rice packets and kottu have been reduced from yesterday (29) midnight.

He added that this decision was taken following the recent price drop of eggs.

Accordingly, rice packets, kottu, and egg rice and curry price will be reduced by Rs.40, price of an egg roll will be reduced by Rs.20 and an egg rotti will have a price reduction of Rs.30, he noted. Rukshan further emphasized that this decision was made to pass on the benefits of the reduced egg prices to the public and he urged the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) to inspect every hotel that hasn’t implemented the latest price reductions.
