Revise PAYE tax to increase revenue – SJB MP

SJB MP Dr. Harsha de Silva said that several proposals will be submitted to the Government to meet the tax revenue target of Rs.100 billion from PAYE tax and to increase the tax revenue received by the government from the Excise Department. He said that by revising the PAYE tax, the government would be able to get the expected tax revenue and the Samagi Jana Balawegaya had studied the matter. He said the government should pay close attention to the proposals.
