Rizly Illyas to be re-elected SLR President

President Rizly Illyas is set to be re-elected uncontested for a second term as President when Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) holds their Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOCSL) Auditorium in Colombo today.

Veteran rugby administrator Illyas is set to take over the reins of SLR once again as he has been nominated for the post of President by all seven Provincial Unions.

In addition, Group Captain Nalin de Silva is set to be elected as the Deputy President while SSP Nizam Jamaldeen will be elected as the Secretary.

The SLR office-bearers:

President: Rizly Illyas. Deputy President: Group Captain Nalin de Silva.

Vice-President: H. A. U. D. Hettiarachchi. Secretary: SSP Nizam Jamaldeen.

Treasurer: Dinesh Anthony Perera. Committee/Council Members: Sanjeewa Lakmal Jayawardena, Sanjeeva Abeygoonewardena, Lasantha Wijesuriya, Roshan Deen, Dissanayake Kishan Mohan de Silva, Dr. Mrs. J. P. D. S. V. D. Nanayakkara, SSP. Neranjan Abeywardena and Kamal Mahendra.
