The Royal College Islamic Society hosted the 68th Annual Islamic Day and Awards Day ceremony at Navarangahala recently. It was held under the guidance of Islamic Society Chairman Umair Haris. This year’s event marked a significant milestone as the society launched the 65th edition of the “Sout Ut Tullab” souvenir, an annual publication that holds special importance for the community.

The term “Sout Ut Tullab” translates to “The Student’s Voice,” and this publication has been a long-standing tradition since its inception in 1958. The Islamic Day, a tradition that dates back to 1955, has remained a pivotal part of Royal College’s heritage.

Sinan Onais, former Secretary, Royal College Islam Society (1990) cum Student Chairman (1991) was present as chief guest.

The 2023 Islamic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, attracting a diverse audience of over 1,000 attendees, including students from Grade 1 to 13, parents, Past Islamic Society board members, teachers, and administrative staff.
