Rs.10 Mn robbed from ATM in Madurankuliya

Madurankuliya Poilce said that a group of thieves broke an Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) in front of a gas station in Puttalam, Madurankuliya under the guise of repairing the machine and stole around Rs.10 million.

This robbery took place Saturday (07) at about 11.30 pm. This ATM is located separately at the location of the gas station and this

theft has been carried out meticulously under the guise of repairs whilethe employees of the gas station were also there.

Investigations have revealed that the robbers stole the money and then restored the ATM as it was and the ATM machine is working as usual.

Madurankuliya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
