Sajith cheated us

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Badulla District MP Vadivel Suresh said that he would resign from all the positions in the party after the party leader and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa did not participate in the SJB’s Madulsima rally which was held yesterday citing false reasons.

It was reported that Premadasa did not participate in the rally due to a sudden illness while he was on the way to the rally from Badulla.

However, MP Suresh said that the Opposition Leader had lied to the people in Madulsima as he saw on Facebook that Premadasa was addressing another rally in the Welimada area at that time.

“The people in the Madulsima area had come to this rally taking leave from their day-pay job.

When we were told that our leader is not well, we conducted some prayers during the rally in order to invoke blessings on him.

However, later only we came to know that he has cheated us”, the MP said.

He also said that he was really disappointed and shocked when he saw the Welimada meeting, in which the Opposition Leader was present, live on Facebook and therefore decided to resign from all the positions he is holding in the party.

The SJB supporters who had participated in the Madulsima rally became aggressive when they were informed that Sajith Premadasa would not be participating in the rally with the Police being called in to disperse the crowd yesterday.
