Sajith’s promise of eliminating corruption baseless – Tilvin

The promises given by the Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa to eliminate fraud and corruption in the country are baseless as many corrupt people who have connections to serious corruption cases have flocked around the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB),

National People’s Power (NPP) Chief Secretary Tilvin Silva said.He stated this addressing a public rally in the Walasmulla area yesterday.Responding to a statement by Sajith Premadasa which said that he can obtain the financial support or loans from the international organizations by using his ability to speak English, Silva said if it is such an easy task even the tourist guides on the beaches would do it better than Premadasa.

“Even the native speakers cannot understand English spoken by Sajith Premadasa. If anyone wants to understand what he says, they have to use a dictionary,” the NPP Chief Secretary said.

Further speaking, Silva said that there is a coup taking place against the candidates of the NPP. Numerous cases are filed against them and numerous baseless news stories are fabricated. All these are baseless allegations.
