‘Sandalakara Hirumadala’ biography launched

The biography of Shridhara Vincent Subasinghe, renowned as the ‘King of Co-operative Movement’ in Sri Lanka named ‘Sandalakara Hirumadala’ to be launched at Sandalankawa on Saturday (24) at 3 p.m.

It will be held in the ‘Sandalanka’ cinema hall, the first cinema of the cooperative movement, a brainchild of Subasinghe.

The biography titled ‘Sandalakara Hirumadala’ is authored by Ananda Karunaratne, a Senior Translator of Parliament based on the research done over many years and the book cover decorated by famous cartoon duo, Sumathipala – Jothipala will be released. Former Auditor General Sarath Mayadunne will deliver the Keynote address.
