Senior Police officer running two Spas in Kandy

Police sources stated that two large-scale Spas with a direct connection to a senior Police officer are being run in Kandy.

Information from the Police revealed that they are being run at Rajasinghe Mawatha and Dhammasiddhi Mawatha in Kandy.

About 15 women have been employed at theese Spas, according to further Police information. According to Police, prostitution is rampant in many places in Kandy under the guise of Spas and because of the senior Police officer’s connection to these two Spas,   no Police station in Kandy and its surroundings are allowed to raid any massage parlour.

Police said that apart from these two Spas, there are more than 300 such health centres being operated in Kandy City and the environs. It is also stated that even the intelligence agencies have informed the Police through secret reports on several occasions about the smuggling of drugs taking in Kandy through certain Spas and health centres.
