Seven CCTV cameras at old Police HQ go missing

Seven CCTV cameras that were installed at the previous Police Headquarters building that was situated in Colombo Fort have gone missing.

Police Headquarters, taking immediate action on this incident, has also filed a complaint over the seven CCTV cameras that have gone missing with the Fort Police Station yesterday (06).

The Police Headquarters was shifted from the old location in Colombo Fort to the old Air Force Base on Kompanna Vidiya.

These seven CCTV cameras that were fixed at the old Police Headquarters premises have disappeared after the Police Headquarters was shifted to the new location.

The cameras had been installed on the Fifth Floor of the old Police Headquarters building in Colombo Fort and their value has not yet been calculated.

The Colombo Fort Police are conducting investigations into the matter.
