mediums, including paintings of acrylic and Oil on canvas, Chinese ink on rice paper, book covers and cross stichesand mixed media, this exhibition promises to captivate and inspire art enthusiasts from all walks of life.

Jayamini de Silva, known as JammiArt, is an artist and an art educator. Jayamini is the founder and the director of JammiArt Academy, UK. She provides all sorts of art education for all age groups around the globe. She mostly works with school children, providing various multicultural art workshops. However, she also provides services for all age groups, including one-to-one lessons, group teaching, and a multitude of other artistic activities.

She was born in Galle, Sri Lanka, received her primary and secondary education from Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda. She holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts in Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, China and Master’s Degree in Art Conservation, University of Northumbria, United Kingdom.

Jayamini has been attached to the Foreign Languages Department at University of Kelaniya as an Assistant Lecturer and lately, Fine Arts Department of University of Peradeniya as a Senior Lecturer. Jayamini works in several mediums such as acrylic on canvas, ink on rice paper, stone colours on silk and seeks to explorenew techniques through art. She exhibits her work nationally and internationally. Some of her works are permanently displayed in galleries, museums, public places and private collections around the world.

Nilmini de Silva is a Dental Surgeon by profession and had her primary education at Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda and secondary education at Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo. She obtained her BDS degree from University of Peradeniya and currentlyworks as a senior Dental Surgeon attached to Dental Hospital, Peradeniya. She showed interest and talents in cross stitch and bobbin lace (Beeralu) since childhood, and gradually developed her skills to a professional level. Nilmini has anextraordinary ability to create these remarkable pieces with thread and needles and shespends much of her leisure time (do deleted) improving her skills to a higher level. Herpassion for stitching shows her dedication to this art of cross stitch. Nilmini is currentlyperfecting this craft, which she learnt from her mother.

Jagath de Silva is an artist, dramatist, actor, and designer with multi-faceted talents whoretired after serving the Board of Investment (BOI) a highly prestigious institutioncontributing to the economic enhancement of Sri Lanka. Jagath was born and brought up in Ambalangoda and received both his primary and secondary education atDharmasoka College. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in B.Com from the University of Ruhuna and a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Sri Jayawaedanepura. Jagath did not have any formal education in art and is mastering theseskills for the love of it. He is self-taught. He has also mastereddocumentary filmmaking and excelled in this field as well.

The siblings’ diverse professional backgrounds contribute to the richness and uniqueness of their artistic expressions. With occupations such as Art Educator, Dental Surgeon and Dramatist, their collective experiences greatly inform their artistic practice, resulting in a captivating fusion of perspectives.
