SJB stage drama as Rohini refuses to sit with former MP Lakshman Wasantha

Matale District SJB MP Rohini Kaviratne did not get on stage as a protest due to the presence of former state minister, Lakshman Wasantha Perera, in the meeting held in Dambulla on Monday under the leadership of SJB Presidential Candidate and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.

Rohini Kaviratne said in a query in this regard that she objected because Lakshman Wasantha was an ethanol dealer and she will never work against the SJB principles.The MP also said that due to the issue of ethanol, which was a serious issue in her district, Perera even lost in the general election held at that time.   Later, Wasantha Perera left the platform before the Opposition Leader arrived. After that Kaviratne got on stage and sat in the front with Premadasa.During her speech Kaviratne said that SJB leader has declared that there will be no space for ethanol dealers, liquor sellers, bar owners on his platform.
