SJB stages protest near parliament access road

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) launched a protest near Diyatha Uyana on the Parliament access road in Battaramulla, opposing government actions.

The demonstration caused traffic congestion in surrounding areas, with police closing the road from the Polduwa Junction.  

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, SJB General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara, and MPs including Harsha de Silva, Mujibur Rahuman, Thalatha Atukorale, and Chamindrani Kiriella joined the protest alongside several other party members. (Newswire)
