SJB’s will strengthen communal ties, develop economy – Imthiaz Bakeer Markar

Former Media Minister and Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Imthiaz Bakeer Marker said that, “Unlike other political leaders, SJB Leader Sajith Premadasa has already strengthened ties between the Sinhalese, Muslims and Tamils in the South and North, which is imperative at this juncture.”

Addressing a public meeting, Imthiaz Bakeer Markar said, “The SJB, which is a new political Party, is totally against any division of this country. Our main objective is to first forget all differences among Communities and develop the Economy to a greater extent. The speedy Economic development will help uplift the living conditions of the people and also solve the unemployment problem in the country.”

He said the SJB has also focused special attention towards upliftment of the country’s Education and we intend to allocate huge sums of money towards the development of Education in the country.

“If we maintain a good standard of Education, our children will have their higher studies in their motherland, rather than enter foreign educational institutions,” he said.

Speaking on the forthcoming Presidential Election, Imthiaz Bakeer Marker said this will be a very special election and people should select the most suitable candidate who is Sajith Premadasa, who will develop the Economy and solve the people’s problems.

He therefore asked the people to think twice, as to whom they would give their preference to at the forthcoming Presidential Election.
