Fresh from their participation in the Asian Volleyball Confederation Challenge Cup tournament in Chinese Taipei, the Sri Lankan team displayed exceptional technical prowess, overpowering the Seychelles tourists in straight sets. The scoreline stood at an impressive 25-18, 25-14, and 25-14, leaving no doubt about the home team’s dominance on the court.
Leading the charge was Deepthi Rumesh, who skillfully guided his team to victory with tactical precision and a solid display of teamwork. Despite missing two key players, Tharusha Chamath and Mahela Indeewara, who excelled in the AVC Challenge Cup, the Sri Lankan team remained undeterred and delivered a superb performance.
The Sri Lanka vs. Seychelles volleyball series has witnessed competitive matches, with both nations showcasing their strengths and fighting spirit. In the preceding match, however, it was the Seychelles women’s team that emerged victorious, defeating the Sri Lanka women’s team by a score of 3-1. The final scoreline read as 15-25, 25-19, 25-18, and 25-22 in favor of Seychelles.
