SL, UAE finalize proposed Agreement on Reciprocal Promotion, Protection of Investments

The delegations of Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates met in Colombo last week to resume discussions to finalize the proposed Agreement on Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments between Sri Lanka and the UAE. Discussions were held in a constructive manner, reaching agreement on the text of the proposed agreement.

Sri Lanka and the UAE delegations were led by Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Ministry’s Deputy Legal Advisor Tilani Silva and UAE’s Finance Ministry Economic Expert Dr. Hamid Nasr Abdulqadir. The Agreement is expected to be signed in the near future.
