SLAF spreads festive cheer with “light of the world” Christmas carols 2024

The Sri Lanka Air Force Christmas Carols – 2024 spread the joy of the season with ‘Light of the World’. On the invitation of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Enoka Rajapaksa and the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, this glittery event was held under the gracious presence of Chairperson Seva Vanitha Unit, Ministry of Defence, Dr. Rasika Perera together with Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) at Eagles’ Lakeside Banquet & Convention Hall in Attidiya.

This year’s Air Force Choir, featuring talented performers from the Air Force & Performing Arts Division, joined by members of the Air Force community and kids, delivered a heart-warming celebration of the season. Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Air Force Dance Troupe brought the nativity story to life with vibrant and captivating performances, enhancing the magical essence of Christmas.

Distinguished attendees at the event included clergy community, Chairperson Seva Vanitha Unit Sri Lanka Navy, Chairperson Seva Vanitha Unit of Civil Security Department, Director General Civil Security Department, Members of the Diplomatic Corp, Members of the Air Force Board of Management and SLAF personnel along with their families were among the guests this year.
