SLATE holds Diploma Award ceremony at BMICH

The Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLATE), 18th Diploma award ceremony was held at the BMICH under the patronage of SLATE Director General Prof. C.S. Lewangamage.

SLIATE is a leading Higher Education Institution in Sri Lanka and is a statutory body coming under the purview of the Ministry of Education. It has been established by the Act of Parliament – 1995 focusing on fostering Advanced Techological Education at post-secondary level.

At present it manages and supervises 19 courses of Higher Natioanl Diploma (HND) in fifteen different fields with a student population of more than 30,000 and 700 academic and non-academic members.

SLATE branches are located in Colombo, Dehiwela, Galle, Tangalle, Gampaha, Kandy, Kegalle, Badulla, Ampara, Samanthurai, Rathapura, Jaffna, Mannar, Vavuniya , Trincomalee, Anurdapura, Batticaloa, Kurunegala and Nawalapitiya.

Chairman of the Governing Council M.N. Ranasinghe, Secrtary Ministry of Education and Directors from SLATE were present at the awards ceremony.
