SLC coaching staff doing a fine job at LPL

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) coaching staff headed by Tim MacCaskill is doing excellent work as they are providing coaches and supporting staff for the LPL five teams.
This will benefit the local cricket coaches attached to SLC and they have a good chance to give their service to the ongoing LPL tournament teams. Only two foreign coaches Moin Khan from Pakistan and Mickey Arthur from South Africa joined the local coaches for the LPL tournament while for the first time two foreign umpires have joined. Sri Lanka umpires such as Kumar Dharmasena, Ravindra Wimalasiri, Ruchira Palliyaguru the ICC umpires, and Prageeth Rambukwella, Lindon Hannibal, Ranmo Martinez. The coaches have a good chance to move with foreign players of their respective teams while our local players also have a chance to share their views and get experience, says LPL tournament Director Samantha Dodanwela.
Meanwhile Sanath Jayasuriya the master blaster is named Kandy Falcons mentor as well as one of the Brand Ambassadors of this LPL. Former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram also joined the LPL as a Brand Ambassador yesterday. The West Indies great Sir Vivian Richards was also named as a Brand Ambassador but had to skip due to medical reasons.
Today the grand final between Jaffna Kings the two times champions with winners of qualifier 2 game ( Colombo Stars or Kandy Falcons) will be played from 7 .30 pm onwards at the R. Premadasa International cricket stadium and the grand closing ceremony will be conducted with the participation of SLC President Shammi Silva and IPG Group founder chairman and CEO Anil Mohan.
