SLPP marks six years today

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) which is the youngest political party of the country marks its sixth anniversary today (2). The Party was formed under the leadership of fifth Executive President of the country

 Mahinda Rajapaksa on November 2,2016.

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna secured its first election victory at the Local Government polls held in 2018. Thereafter, the Party won the Presidential Election in 2019 and the Parliamentary election in 2020 with a two-thirds majority. The anniversary celebration will be held giving priority to the religious activities.

Currently, the party is carrying out its re-organizing programme covering the whole country.
