SLSI to regulate LP Gas standards

The Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) is to formulate and regulate standards regarding the import and distribution of LP Gas.

A senior official of the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) said the Controller of Imports and Exports has issued an Extraordinary Gazette Notification authorizing the SLSI in this regard.

According to the Extraordinary Gazette Notification issued, the authority to formulate and regulate the import and distribution standards for all gas imports, gas cylinders, regulators and valves has been granted to the Sri Lanka Standards Institution.
