Soldier shoots himself inside camp

Homagama Police yesterday said that a soldier attached to the Sri Lanka Army Panagoda camp has committed suicide by shooting himself yesterday evening.

The deceased is a resident of Naula, Matale and he is 28 years old. The soldier in question has been admitted to the Homagama Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The magisterial inquiry and the post mortem examination were to be conducted yesterday
