Sparkling century by Thathsara Eshan

A hurricane 108 runs by Thathsara Eshan guided Gurukula Vidyalaya Kelaniya to beat St.Xaviers College Marawila by a massive 344 runs in their Inter School under 15 division one Cricket Match played at Upali Gunaratne grounds Kirindiwela.

Thathsara hit 15 fours and occupied the Crease for 118 minutes and faced 77balls also he was associated in an opening stand of 111 runs with Pooma Kalhara contributing 55 runs. Batting first homesters amassed 408 runs and Denura Demansith and Vidula Heshan too scored 71 and an unbeaten 52 runs respectively and the visitors collapsed for a paltry 52 runs and Tharusha Dilsara bagged 5 for 25.

In an another game in the under 17 division one Gurukula Vidyalaya defeated Tissa Central Kalutara by five wickets in their Inter School under 17 division one match at Kalutara. Taking the first lease homesters scored 169 with Naradha Kanchana capturing 4 for 44 and in reply Kelaniya lads notched up the required score for the loss of five wickets with Janitha Shehan unbeaten on 68 runs.
