Sri Lanka Cabinet approves MoUs between local, foreign universities

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a series of Memoranda of Understanding between Sri Lankan universities and foreign institutions to strengthen academic cooperation, research collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The approvals include agreements involving the University of Peradeniya, University of Kelaniya and University of Vavuniya with institutions in China, Japan and India, covering areas such as climate change, environmental pollution, antimicrobial resistance, informatics and academic staff exchanges.

The proposal was presented by the Prime Minister in her capacity as Minister of Education, Higher Education and Professional Education. (Newswire)
