Sri Lankan cricketers have good potential and hope they will come back strongly said Indian lady TV cricket presenter Ridhima Pratak in an exclusive interview with the Daily News during the ICC World Cup.
I always enjoy being a TV presenter and this type of world cup always give much needed exposure for me to go forward as a presenter.
Cricket lady presenter is a huge challenge as I have to work with experienced legendary cricketers like Sunil Gavaskar ,Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Manjrekar all are my Indian cricket heroes while the international cricket commentators like. Nasser Hussain,Mike Atherton from England ,Ian Bishop from West Indies ,Shaun Pollock,A.B de Villiers from South Africa, Rameez Raja ,Wasim Akram and Waqar Younus from Pakistan Shane Watson ,Aaron Finch from Australia, Pommie Mbangwa from Zimbabwe and Russell Arnold from Sri Lanka and all are involved with my programs which always give good experience.I am a freelance sports presenter while not only cricket I am doing programs for various TV channels like Star Sports , Sky sports and etc and all these programs I have to do presenter part said Mumbai born indian star Ridhima Pratak
Cricket world cup is the key event of this sport and getting opportunity to do pre match and post match programs as well as during the match break sessions always very enjoyable occasions. my favourite cricketer is Virat Kohli who won the player of the series in this world cup after his superb batting performance said Ridhima Pratak. This time India hosted this world cup and we saw it was highly successful and very fine TV coverage which broadcasted to all over the world .As a presenter I have to get ready for this event before all this programs .I am not a women’s cricketer or a cricket coach and all knowledge of cricket collected from senior International cricket commentators and they always support me.
As a sports presenter I had chance to be involved with Asian Games, South Asian Games, Commonwealth Games as well as Olympics but Cricket World Cup always is special said Ridhima Pratak.
We saw all ten teams performances during this world cup while Sri Lanka was not up to expectations but I know they have good talented players and next time they will come back strongly.When I chat with other International commentators we have to focus on the match very seriously and ask some questions from the expert commentators.As a lady it’s a huge challenge but I am really enjoying this profession .We knew we have to move with spectators and ask some questions from them in-between the matches and that’s live telecast during the commentaries added Ridhima Pratak.
I covered last Lanka Premier League ( LPL ) at Pallekele and Colombo and it was very interesting and like to come back to Sri Lanka.In fsct Sri Lanka Cricket provided good hospitality for our commentary team while Sri Lankan spectators are very friendly and hope to come again concluded Ridhima Pratak the lady cricket presenter
