Sri Lanka Customs seize heroin worth Rs. 270 million

Sri Lanka Customs has seized 10.5 kgs of heroin worth Rs. 270 million at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and arrested three people in connection.

The heroin stock had been brought into the country from Lahore, Pakistan. The stock packed in several bath towels was found in the Katunayake air cargo terminal, according to officials.

The stock of heroin and the suspects were handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) for further investigations.
