Indian media reports that the Indian government has allocated 300 million Indian rupees for Sri Lanka in the budget for the year 2025.
This is about 1,032 million rupees in Sri Lankan currency.
Last year, the Indian budget allocated 245 million Indian rupees for Sri Lanka.
However, the Indian media had reported that this time, 300 million Indian rupees have been allocated to overcome the economic crisis in Sri Lanka.
The Indian budget for the year 2025 was presented to the country’s parliament yesterday (01) by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
In that budget, 20,516 million Indian rupees have been allocated for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, and out of that, 5,483 million Indian rupees have been allocated for foreign countries.
The highest amount allocated for foreign countries in the Indian budget was 2,150 million Indian rupees.
That money was allocated for Bhutan.
