Sri Lanka's largest and most technologically advanced fertilizer manufacturing plant opened

The latest factory premises of Lanka Bio Fertilizer Company located in Millawa, Horana was opened today (24) by the Minister of Agriculture, Mahinda Amaraweera. The production of bio-fertilizers for Sri Lanka was started in this 40,000 square feet factory with modern technology.

This is the largest and most technologically advanced bio-fertilizer factory in Sri Lanka, with an annual production capacity of one million liters of bio-fertilizer. Biofilm bio-chemical fertilizers are produced in this factory in association with leading academic institutions, which are 100% natural, eco-friendly bio-fertilizers.

The specialty of these biofertilizers is that the use of urea fertilizer can be reduced by 30% when applied to paddy cultivation.
