Sri Lanka’s tourism earned USD 1.5Bn in first half of 2024

In the first 6 months of this year, Sri Lanka has managed to earn an income of 1,557 million US dollars from the tourism sector.
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka points out that the income earned by Sri Lanka from the tourism sector during the period from January to June 2023 is 875 million US dollars and in comparison the earnings this year for the same period has increased significantly.
