Sripura murder: Police seek public support to arrest suspect

Police have sought the public’s assistance to apprehend a suspect wanted in connection to the murder of an individual in Sripura on August 16.

The shooting was carried out using a T56 assault rifle by two gunmen  arrived on a motorcycle on August 16, 2024.

The suspect, Kande Lekamlage Gayan Sugathadasa, is a resident of Avissawella and holder of the National Identity Card numbers 850220751V and 198502200751.

The public with any information on the suspect has been requested to inform the Police via 071 8591181 or 025 2255062.

Police have also released photographs and details of the suspect in question.
