STF crackdown on contraband arrest three with stock of fags

Special Task Force Officers managed to arrest three persons in possession of a stock of contraband brought in to Sri Lanka. Here, the STF officers confiscated variety of packs of fags, namely 200 Bahman, 40 Manchester, 720 Gold Leaf, 180 Marlboro, 20 Double Happiness, and 120 L&M types among them that had not even recorded the Government health warnings.

These three suspects were arrested in raids done in Wellawaya, Ambagasdowa, and Galle Fort Police division areas according to information received by the officers of the STF Haputale and Akmeemana camps.

The arrested suspects are aged between 32 and 66 and reside in Demodara, Ambagasdowa. A 55-year-old woman residing in Magalle is also among the suspects. Suspects have been handed over to the respective Police stations for prosecution.
