Stock Market achieves 14% growth in first half this year

The Colombo Stock Market has achieved a growth of 14 percent in the first six months of 2024, showing an effective growth in the country’s economy.

The Colombo Stock Market said that the All-Share Price Index has achieved a growth of 13.99 percent in the first six months of 2024.

At the beginning of the year, the all-stock price index of the stock market, which was recorded as 10,654.16 units, has increased by 1,490.38 units to 12,144.54 units at the end of trading on June 28.

According to the S&P SL20 index, which is a main price index of the Colombo Stock Market, the growth of the stock market in the first half of 2024 is 16.95 percent, and the S&P SL20 index value, which was recorded as 3,068.36 units at the beginning of the year, increased to 3,588.54 units at the end of trading on June 28. A growth of 520.18 has been achieved.According to the Colombo Stock Market, it has achieved positive growth in the first six months this year.
