Strengthening economy under agricultural livelihood development project
Sri Lanka Red Cross Society with the support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies distributed Rs. 75,000 each to 500 families in Homagama and Padukka as part of our agricultural livelihood development project.
Sri Lanka Red Cross Society touched the lives of 600 families with a ‘Rs. 45 million’ initiative.
This time the organisation is contributing beyond funds by providing free technical and financial knowledge to support community businesses.
Chief of Staff to the President and the National Security Advisor Sagala Ratnayaka joined the event at Kottawa Dharmapala Vidyalaya Auditorium. The Senior Vice President of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, Jagath Abeysinghe along with other officials of the organisation and the Government attended.
Ratnayaka emphasized the impact on strengthening the nation’s economy while enhancing the living conditions of the beneficiaries. “Let’s make 2024 economically strong together”, he said.
