Strong winds : Alert for 11 districts

Strong winds of about (50-55) kmph can be expected at times over Western slopes of the central hills and in Northern, North-central, and Central provinces and in Puttalam, Trincomalee, and Hambantota districts due to the active south-west monsoonal condition.

Fairly strong winds about (40-45) kmph can be expected at times elsewhere of the island.
