Suspect who broke into two houses, institution arrested

The Borella Police say that a person who broke into two houses and an institution in the Borella Police domain and stole electrical equipment worth over Rs. one million was arrested in Rajagiriya.

Suspect had 10,500 milligrams of heroin at the time of the arrest.

According to the Police, based on the information revealed during the questioning of the suspect, the stolen properties were found in the Borella area after being sold to various people at a low price. Police seized seven televisions, a computer, a DVD player, two local alcohol bottles, a foreign perfume bottle, a bicycle, a printer, four iPods, two digital cameras and several other electronic items.

This 43-year-old suspect has been arrested on several occasions in the past, and he is addicted to heroin.

The investigations are being carried out under the instructions of the Borella Police Officer in Charge Janaka Priyadarshana Withanage.
