Teacher arrested for seeking obscene pictures of schoolgirls

The police said that a teacher of an international school in the Bandarawela area was arrested yesterday afternoon (26) in connection with an incident where he allegedly tried to obtain obscene photographs of schoolgirls.

The police said that the parents of the children studying in the school held a protest in front of the school yesterday afternoon, saying that the suspected teacher told a schoolgirl to send obscene pictures to her mobile phone and demanding that the law be implemented against him.

After the preliminary investigation, the police arrested the teacher.

The police also said that when the police searched the mobile phone of this teacher, they found obscene pictures and videos of other women and girls.
